Visits for groups unaccompanied by guides or with their own guides are possible again (max. 10 persons).
It’s much more fun to visit the Museum when you go with other people!
Why not explore the Münchner Stadtmuseum with friends and family, other like-minded people, or as part of a group? Not forgetting, of course, our helpful guides!
We have joined forces with independent experts and institutions such as the MPZ (Center for Museum Education), the Münchner Volkshochschule adult education center (MVHS) and many more to offer an even more varied program.
On your own or with friends and family?
Try out our regular program of activities which includes short, themed and discussion-format guided tours, combined exhibition and city tours, workshops, inclusive experiences such as tactile tours and tours with German sign language interpreters, open workshops, special activity days and our vacation program.
Visit our Events page for full details. Please note that, for public events, the number of participants is limited.
Looking for an experience tailored for your individual group?
Every group has its own expectations of a visit to the Museum. You may be interested in a given topic, have a specific date in mind or would like your experience to be suitable for a particular age group, or people with specific interests or individual requirements. Do you prefer a “traditional” guided tour, an opportunity for greater discussion or an experience that is fun, active and creative? Should it be aimed at beginners or would you prefer a more in-depth approach? Would you like it to be geared towards a particular educational syllabus or curriculum, or is it simply intended as an inspirational leisure activity? We can offer exactly what you are looking for, whatever your needs.
Does your group prefer to bring its own guide or visit without a guide?
If so, please book your visit as early as possible and no later than 10 days before you intend to visit the Museum. This helps us ensure that everyone enjoys their time at the Museum.
