Regina Relang, Fashion Model Outside a Research Reactor, Garching 1962

Regina Relang (1906-1989), who lived in Munich from 1949, became Germany's leading fashion photographer during the 1950s and ‘60s. During this era Relang produced reports on the haute couture shows in Paris and Rome for every leading fashion magazine. Following her death, her work was bequeathed to the Münchner Stadtmuseum's Photography Collection. In 2005, a major retrospective entitled "The Elegant World of Regina Relang" was compiled and put on display. On that occasion, a catalog of photographs was produced by the specialist art publishers Hatje Cantz (296 pages, 28.90 €).
